Most people shower every day - it is a daily obligation did not miss. These practices are at odds with the claims of scientists who say that frequent washing has harmful consequences.

Dr. Joshua Casher, professor of dermatology at New York Hospital "Mountain Sinai", defines frequent showering as a cultural phenomenon.

Dr. Rachel Hirsch, a dermatologist in Boston, says that it must be noted that people in the US know that excessive hygiene, and such behavior, she is accepted as a social norm.

Too frequent showering reflects the impact of marketing campaigns, not only modern, but the ads that have already established public after the American Civil War. As at the time spread ads for soap, hygiene of people lifted to a higher level.

How does frequent showering the skin of the body?

American dermatologists say that frequent bathing dries the skin and causes irritation, removes the good bacteria living on the skin surface, causing cracks in it and increases the risk of infections. This especially applies to shower with hot water.

Dermatologists We urge parents not to bathe their children every day. If adults heed their advice, I took the child's skin less prone to allergies and various skin disorders such as eczema.

Under the advice of US experts should take a shower every day, but in the days when you skip this higien measure still needs to maintain the hygiene of the most critical parts of your body, using a wet cloth.

They note that the required frequency shower depends on the level of activity of each of us, but that is most recommended to shower 2 to 3 times a week.
